Keep that garbage disposal clean and odor free. Their is no need to buy the cleaning products for your garbage disposal. Their are two easy ways to clean your disposal.

First one is to pour about an eighth of a cup of dish washing liquid directly into the disposal. Run a slow stream of cold water on the same side of the sink as the disposal, turn on the disposal. The soap will foam up. Run the disposal until the foam goes down the drain. It takes a couple minutes. Rinse both sides of the sink and you are done. Do this once a month.


Second one is really easy too. This one is my favorite. When you are finished with that orange, lemon, grapefruit or lime, throw the rind into the disposal, turn on the water and the disposal, let it run till the rind is gone. Done. The bulk of the rind as well as the acid will keep your disposal clean and fresh. Do as often as you like. If you are using a grapefruit rind, cut it up into smaller pieces before you put it in the disposal.



This is not for children to do. Do not over load your disposal with any object or liquid. Run the disposal according to the manufactures directions. If you do something silly and brake your disposal, I am not responsible. K!
