Homemaker tip:

You know that build up around the faucet that never comes off. It is mineral deposits of course. They are a bear to control. Arizona hard water. Any way I found a little treatment that really works. It is a hint from Heloise. Vinegar. All you do is soak some paper napkins with the vinegar and place it around the fixture. Let it soak for 10 minutes, remove and scrub it away. You may need to do a second time depending on how bad the build up is. It really worked and it shined the chrome up too. I will do it again. Check out the pictures.

This is the before shot...

the during

the after. The scratches are from all the attempts at getting the stuff off. Who knew vinegar was the secret.

Made me giggle

We watched this cute little off beat movie called "Carolina". More for the adult viewer for the language than anything I think. This was a line that I just liked. Made me giggle..............

"Now I'm not askin' ya to be a normal child cause that's not the Mirabeau way. I'm just askin' that you be a little bit smarter about your crazy side. Okay?"

Life is a wonderful challenge

These past few months have been a challenge to say the least. It all pretty much started when I knew I was going to have to go back to Costco. From that moment on I have been faced with things like ear infections/sinus infections, car problems resulting in over $1400.00 in repairs only to have the engine blow after the repairs, ACQUIRED A CAR PAYMENT, a groin pull, back spasms, IBS, emergency visit to California to help Raini get on her feet, migraines, sleeplessness, Loss of Steve's wages, stress, allergies & vertigo. I think that is the complete list. Oh ya, the root canal. So any way I was contemplating this whole thing and talking to Heavenly father about it. Just trying to put it into perspective. What is the lesson in all of these challenges? I have been paying tithing, saying my prayers, going to my meetings, fulfilling my callings, reading my scriptures. The answer to my quandary came in a few ways. I just simply need to endure these things well and have faith and let the Lord take care of this. I am so thankful for the Gospel and the blessings that come from living it. I am so very blessed.

Something I found

So I was online just looking at the Yahoo features and I came across this little article that I really like and I want to share it with you. I love this kind of stuff.

Being embarrassed, hurt, or afraid can actually be a good thing. This simple meditation explains why these emotions can heal you.

Escape Your Prison By
Jane Powell - www.MeditationsForWomen.com

“Take a chance.”

Ever felt embarrassed after someone rebuffed your invitation to go for coffee? Ever felt hurt when you opened yourself up to another person and they didn’t react the way that you had hoped? Ever felt scared for any number of reasons?

Congratulations! You’re alive. And growing, too! If we never take a chance, if we never stretch ourselves, there are two things that we can be sure of. One is that we will never feel hurt or embarrassed or scared. The other is that we will stagnate. Safe in our comfort zone, we will find in time that comfort zone has become a prison. We have dealt ourselves a life sentence of "safety." Yet safety equals stagnation.

Be embarrassed! Be hurt! Be frightened! The rewards of growth and change are permanently rewarding. Slowly, through taking chances on people and situations, we mold ourselves into the person we want to be. We grow. We learn. We change for the better. The end result outweighs the temporary pain encountered on the journey.

Take a chance on life today.

This is backed by one of my favorite scriptures D&C 122:7. The whole chapter covers this but chapter 7 sums it up....................................

7 And if thou shouldst be cast into the apit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the bdeep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to chedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of dhell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee eexperience, and shall be for thy good.

I so grateful that we have the scriptures.

Mark

My brother Mark is meeting his daughter for the first time in like 28 years. He was married to this gal and they had Jessica and then they divorced. Mom moved back home and my brother never saw her again. I don't know all the details but this short version. Life and circumstances got in the way but now they are together and I hope it is going well. I am nervous for him. I hope we get to meet her soon. It has been too long and we have always had her in our thoughts and hearts. Best of everything to you both. I love you!!!!!!!!!!

My Man

It's the little things that make me love this man so much. This is what I woke up to this morning..........

It all started almost 18 years ago (in August) with a little post it that read "Your the peanut in my butter" since then Steve and I have exchanged hundreds of these little "I Love You's". I have saved every single one and I think he has too. This is what makes things count. The little things he does. He helps clean house and do laundry when he is sure he wont shrink any of my clothes. He cooks dinner sometimes and lets me sleep when I have had a bad night. He works so hard every day in pain and still finds the energy to help out even though I really don't need it most of the time. He can be very difficult to live with but it is easy to live with when he makes me feel so loved!!!!!!!

My B-Day

Starting the day with a visit to Costco for my drug screen. Woo Hoo!!!! Hope I pass. Ha! If anything I will be on the drugs after I start back to work. Or maybe a good shrink. Just joking. Maybe not. Who knows. Heavenly Father will guide me. He always has.

P.S the drug screen is on Tuesday. Fun Fun!!!
